What this site is

Star Citizen Catalog (the "Site") is an independent, community-maintained tool for searching publicly available Star Citizen patch notes and community video transcripts using a large language model of your choice. The Site is operated as a personal project and is provided free of charge.

No affiliation

The Site is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Cloud Imperium Games, Roberts Space Industries, or any Star Citizen entity. All Star Citizen names, ships, logos, and trademarks are the property of their respective owners. Patch note excerpts and transcript snippets are referenced for community discussion under fair-use principles.

Bring your own API key

To use the chat feature, you must supply your own API key for one of the supported LLM providers (currently OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, and OpenRouter). When you submit a prompt, the Site forwards it to the provider you select using your key. Your use of that provider is governed by their terms of service and acceptable use policies; you are responsible for any usage charges, rate limits, or violations of their policies.

We do not guarantee the availability, accuracy, or output of any third-party LLM provider. The Site is a client of those services and cannot control their behavior.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Site to:

• Violate any law or third-party rights.
• Attempt to break, probe, or overload the Site's infrastructure.
• Use the Site to generate harmful, illegal, or abusive content.
• Share your account or attempt to impersonate another user.
• Scrape, mass-export, or republish content from the Site at scale.

Accuracy disclaimer

Community video transcripts and patch notes are subject to errors, paraphrasing, version drift, and the limitations of the large language model you select. The Site makes no guarantee that any answer is correct, complete, or up to date. Do not rely on it for time-sensitive decisions.

No warranty

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Site's operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data or profits arising from your use of the Site.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Site for any user at any time, particularly for abuse or attempts to circumvent these terms. You may delete your account and stored keys at any time from the Settings page.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance.
